AGM News

Over 100 ladies attended the AGM at Kesgrave Memorial Hall. It was wonderful to see all of the 2024 competition winners presented with their trophies. The commitment of all the County Squads was acknowledged and the triumphant Junior Squad were each presented with a crystal glass to commemorate their success.

Outgoing Honorary Secretary, Di Hegarty, was presented with a crystal panelled barrel vase, bearing the Suffolk logo and an inscription thanking her for 6 years of exemplary service. Di was also presented with a £650 voucher to spend on a golf holiday and a ‘Sunshine Rose’ for her garden. Sheila Boath from Ipswich Golf Club, was voted in as the new Honorary Secretary.

Outgoing Captain, Tanya McGregor was presented with a Dracaena plant and commended by incoming Captain, Emily Evans from Newton Green Golf Club, for the great job she has done, throughout her two years, encouraging ladies from all clubs to enter county competitions. Emily stated that she intended to continue Tanya’s work of ‘welcoming’ and ‘enabling’ all members to enjoy their golf. Alice Barlow from Bury St Edmunds Golf Club was voted in as Vice-Captain.
