Andrea Thompson, Newton Green, won the Division 2 Trophy with Gross 86, Catriona Chaplin, also from Newton Green, came 2nd with 90. These scores combined with Newton’s 3rd player to enter, Rebecca O’Hara was enough to secure them the Division Shield – but only by a single point, from Fynn Valley. Shelli Moyes, Fynn Valley, had a gross 91 to come 3rd.

Eunice Gray, Woodbridge, scored Nett 70 to win the Nett prize, Fynn Valley’s Gwen Collins and Sally Crosbie jostled for 2nd and 3rd respectively with Nett 72.
Thank you to Mary Stevenson, competition organiser, for all her hard work behind the scenes and on the day. Thank you also to Newton Green for hosting the competition. The speed of the greens took some of the competitors by surprise. It was a beautiful early autumnal day and the bonhomie of the players was audible throughout the course and clubhouse. We look forward to welcoming the competitors back at Ufford Park on September 26th next year.
