The East Region Foursomes Championships was held at Colne Valley Golf Club, Essex on Wednesday 30th April. On a very hot and sunny day 74 players from across the six counties took part, including 17 from Suffolk. Some great scoring across the field over 36 holes on a tricky golf course.
The winners of the East Region Foursomes Championships were Jasmine Points and Alice Barlow from Bury St Edmunds with gross scores of 78,76
It’s been 9 years since a Suffolk pairing has won this title. Their names will now join Sharon Luckman & Amanda Norman (2012 Winners) and Fiona Edmond & Lottie Whyman (2016 Winners).
Runner Up in the Gross were Riya Chandaria and Sarah Marley from Essendon Park with gross scores of 83,74
Winners of the best nett were Elaine Meagher and Linda Reeve from Aldwickbury Park with Nett scores of 68,70
Runners up in the nett were another Suffolk pair, Trudy Read and Ginnie Hart from Fynn Valley. with Nett scores of 73,68.
