The Stoke-By-Nayland Junior Open on Tuesday, 2nd April, proved highly successful for the Suffolk girls. Returning a splendid 81/77 for 158 over thirty-six holes, one round on the Gainsborough Course and one on the Constable, Newton Greens Alice Barlow walked off with the Scratch prize. Abbie Symonds (Ipswich) finished on gross 165 which netted down to 143 and won the handicap prize. Her two rounds were 70 and 73 net, both excellent and steady. The third Suffolk player in the frame was Eloise Aldous (Newton Green), who completed a 77 gross on the Gainsborough course to win the Daily Telegraph Qualifying Competition.
As the juniors continue to go from strength to strength, we wish them well for the new golfing season.
