The Suffolk Girls Championship had a good turnout on Saturday held at Halesworth Golf Club. All of the girls showed an exceptional attitude on the course considering the unfortunate conditions of heavy rain and wind that went with the day.

Georgia Parker, from Bury St Edmunds was crowned the Suffolk Girls County Champion, with a gross score of 88 leading by 14 shots. This also qualifies Georgia to represent Suffolk in the English Girls Champion of Champions event on the 7th September being held at Woodhall Spa this year.

Juliette Coffey, from Woodbridge was the winner of the nett plate with a score of 86, leading by 4 shots. Melissa Coffey, also from Woodbridge was the winner of the Stableford with a fantastic score of 33 points.

The team that will be representing Suffolk in the East Region County Match Days from the 12th – 14th August at Wensum Valley Golf & Country Club was also named. They are:

Georgia Parker (Captain), Sophie Kubitzek, Jasmine Points, Laura Eaden (Bury St Edmunds), Jessica Buck (Halesworth), Juliette Coffey (Woodbridge), Natasha Gregory (Ipswich), Rio Everitt (The Suffolk)
