31 ladies braved the winds at Halesworth Golf Club for our Annual Spring Meeting held on Monday 16th March. The field came in battered from the strong breeze but not bruised! Despite this, a lovely day was had by all and Halesworth did us proud with the course which was in excellent condition, and the catering, which consisted of a one-course meal that went down a treat after battling the elements.

The format was Stableford scoring, full handicap, best 2 scores out of 3 and the winning 3 teams were as follows:

1st – Sally Crosbie, Beverly Gray and Sue Whymark with 71 points

2nd – Amanda Boutell, Val Moon and Ann Basey-Fisher with 67 points

3rd – Di Hegarty, Jilly Tye and Jane Jewers with 63 points.

Nearest the pin in 2 on the 5th – Tracy Kettle

Nearest the line (rope) on the 18th – Sally Crosbie.

A small token of thanks was presented to Sheila Sheldrake for her role and help with running the society for the past few years.
