The Suffolk Seniors played their last East Anglian League match on Monday 28 September away to Cambs/Hunts at Saffron Walden. It was a beautiful day with temperatures still good for the time of year. The course was undergoing major work on 2 holes but otherwise it played well. The team battled hard against opposition who play the course regularly and 3 matches went to the 18th. We came away with a respectable 3.5 – 2.5 loss.
Tina Jeary 1 down – Jackie Ewing
Lynne Barrett 1 down – Marcella Tuttle
Kris Matthews 2/4 loss – Lesley Gilchrist
Jo Miller 3/1 win – Jayne Miles
Rachael Goldsmith halved – Lynda Minton
Vicki Hunt 7/6 win – Jaine Fieldhouse
Thank you to Saffron Walden Golf Club who welcomed us warmly and provided the teams with Ham, Egg and Chips after the match which was delicious.
