Muswell Hill 18th May 2026
On 18 May, the Suffolk Senior Team travelled to London to play a friendly fixture against the Middlesex Senior Women Team at Muswell Hill. This was the second meeting between the two counties following last year’s match played at Felixstowe when Suffolk were the victors.
We were given a warm welcome by The Club and our opponents. The match was played in great spirits and the rain mostly stayed away. Seven singles matches were played producing some highly competitive golf throughout the day.
On this occasion Middlesex emerged the winners securing 5.5 points to our 1.5. The team fought hard on a course they didn’t know and special mention goes to Nicki McMahon who dug deep to come back from 6 down to then narrowly miss out on the 18th and Karen Larbey who secured our only win.
