The first Weston match of 2014 resulted in a hard fought, but friendly, win
for Stowmarket playing at Home against Flempton and a Hole in One for Ladies’ Captain, Liz Laflin. Liz took a 6 iron off the tee at the 11th and, according to spectators, her ball pitched 3 feet below the hole and rolled in.
As Liz said: “What a nice start to my captaincy, which only began a week ago”.
